TV & Film

Black Violin is known for their prolific touring career, but they have also found their niche behind the scenes in the film industry. Their first break came through a feature performance in the hit CBS drama CSI:NY. The group scored the opening scene by rearranging the climax of Giacomo Puccini’s Madame Butterfly. They were also featured in the episode as performers on a subway during the opening murder scene.

Due to the nature of Black Violin’s music, many prominent companies such as Coca-Cola and Disney have coveted the hip-hop meets classical blend to promote their brand. Their music has also been featured on the primetime television series America’s Got Talent and So You Think You Can Dance.
